As tight as possible. And when you bend down, the child should not move more than 2 cm away from your own body. How can I see that the bar fits? If it reaches from the back of the knee to the back of the knee or does not stop at mid-thigh. If the bar has become too small on its own, the straps can be fanned out above the legs - see instructions for larger children. Which size is the right one? We always go by the child's body height. Size 1 fits from birth up to about 95 cm body height (fanned out) and size 2 from 75/80 cm body height. If you have a rather strong or delicate child, this can have an influence on the right size. Strong children tend to fit into size 2 better than petite children.Arms in or arms out? The child can decide this as soon as it can hold its head on its own and is stable enough in the upper back. The carrier ends at a height of 60-65 cm (approx. 3 months) at about the nape of the child's neck, where he can try to put his arms out. Note, however, that the child is lighter when his arms are in the carrier, as he is closer to your body and you don't have to balance as much.I need a longer hip belt or longer straps. How do I get that ordered and communicated? As we manufacture in Berlin and often only produce a few products in advance, you have the option of getting longer straps and a longer hip belt. For every 10 cm longer straps we charge 2€, so 50 cm = 10 €. The longer hip belt is about 1m in circumference and made of a foam material. We charge you 10€ more for the fabrication.
