You have a favorite cloth or piece of cloth that is really close to your heart? Your birth sling or a very special piece from your carrying time? And you would like to have your own and very special baby carrier made from it according to your wishes ? We will sew you your desired wrap mei tai and will be happy to accommodate your special wishes. Thus, a special piece of needlework art is created with a lot of you.
This is how it works: You buy this offer and fill out this form. You send us your piece of cloth with the form and we contact you. After we have clarified everything, we have received the payment, we cut and then we sew.
You have to expect a waiting time of about 14 working days (plus shipping) from the moment the cloth is with us until you hold the stretcher in your hands.

Fabric consumption of your sling:
Version with buckle hip belt:
- 1x 200cm x sling width for the straps (padded or fanned out) from size 44 = 220cm and from size 50/XXL = 240cm
- 2x 40 cm x cloth width for the hood (1x 60 cm for hood with sling straps)
- 1x 60 cm x cloth width for waist belt buckle
- 2x 50 cm x cloth width for back part for size 1 or 2x 60 cm x cloth width for back part for size 2
= total sling with min. 4,2m for size 1 or min. 4,4m for size 2 without considering the pattern
Version with waist belt:
- 1x 200cm x sling width for the straps (padded or fanned out) from size 44 = 220cm and from size 50/XXL = 240cm
- 2x 40 cm x cloth width for the hood (for hood with sling straps 1x 60 cm) -> fits out of the upper part of the hip belt, if whole cloth
- 2x 50 cm x width of sling for back part of size 1 (fits partly out of the upper part of the hip belt, if sling is narrower than 65 cm then min. 5m) or 2x 60 cm x width of sling for back part of size 2
- 1x 180 cm x width of sling for waist belt for tying and back part
= total sling size 6 with min. 4,6m or min. 4,8m for size 2
If slings are narrower than 65 cm, we need a size 7 for the version for tying.
Version with buckle hip belt:

If slings are narrower than 65 cm, we need a size 7 for the version for tying.
For slings with large patterns we often need more, if the patterns should be respected or you have certain ideas for the placement.
If you send us whole cloths, you will get all scraps back, even larger pieces of cloth!
And if your cloth is not enough, you simply buy something extra from us after consultation!
Which cloths are suitable for the carriers?
Generally all cloths you like to wear. Should a cloth be particularly thin or thick, talk to us. We have a lot of experience in the processing of different cloths. The cloths can contain different materials and we sew everything. There are also differences from manufacturer to manufacturer and just ask if you want to be sure that this cloth is the right one.
How do I find the right size?
We start from the height of the child and not from the size of the clothes. So that the Wrap Mei Tai in size 1 fits perfectly from birth to about 92 cm. Of course, it still fits beyond that, but then we recommend it for shorter distances, because the bar respectively also the back part is very short. Size 2 fits from 74 to approx. 104/110 cm.
If you send us whole cloths, you will get all scraps back, even larger pieces of cloth!
And if your cloth is not enough, you simply buy something extra from us after consultation!

Bar/neck reducer: We recommend this integrated in the version from birth.
Hip belt: The ergonomic hip belt with buckle is our standard version. The unpadded waist belt for tying is straight and can also be lightly padded in parts if desired.
Padding in the straps: If you don't like straps to fan out, but prefer padded straps, we can make that happen too. The fanning straps are half the width of your sling minus one more sewn edge. The padded straps are approximately 10 inches wide and lightly padded.
Headrests: For the gathered headrest with elastic, the fabrics should not be too thick. If you have a thicker fabric (from a weight per unit area of approx. 280 depending on the material) then please choose the headrest with sling straps, as this can then gather by itself. You do not need a headrest, then just leave it out or choose the one to remove with buttons. The buttons are made of metal and are integrated in gold, silver or vintage matching colors.
I don't have enough fabric for the complete carrier?
We have a large pool of different slings or pieces of cloth in stock, where we actually always find something. These are mainly plain slings from Girasol, our own weaves from Girasol the so-called Exclusive, Colimacon as well as our own weaves from Yaro in gray, emerald or black.

Special requests such as shorter/longer backs, straps, headrests, etc. are not a problem but plan for different fabric usage.
Please note: We can only use clean, smooth, pet hair free cloth. If washing and/or ironing is necessary, we will charge a flat rate of 10€ extra and will notify you in advance. If the cloths have flaws and you don't want to have them in the wearer, please mark these places clearly. For patterns and different sides, you are welcome to mark your preference, otherwise we will make suggestions.
