Linen so the flax plant is very undemanding in cultivation and requires little water. This makes it more resource and environmentally friendly and thus more sustainable than cotton, for example. Less to no chemicals are also needed in processing. Linen is also antibacterial and dirt-repellent. It binds moisture very well in the fiber, but also prevents the formation of bacteria and odors. It even neutralizes them. It is breathable and releases moisture but also well to the environment. In summer, you sweat less and the fabric is rather pleasantly cool. In winter, however, it warms just as well as cotton.
Visually, the linen fiber is somewhat unstructured and much more interesting. In babywearing, it is precisely this feel that is an advantage, as ringslings made of linen simply sit very well and do not slip.
However, linen is much more expensive than raw material. We are also very concerned about quality here and buy the linen from different manufacturers, because on the one hand we need a certain width, but also a certain quality. We also prefer here smaller manufactories and weaving mills
